We would like to thank our distinguished donors, Richard & Liana Broadstone, for their tremendous generosity in advancing essential biomedical research in neurological function and disease.
The Institute of Neural Regeneration and Tissue Engineering is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit charitable organization that was founded with the goal of improving the lives of the millions who suffer from strokes, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and neurodegenerative diseases. Our focus is on scientific research work, translating basic sciences of today into the biomedical technologies of the future. We also seek to understand the fundamental basis of all neural function, from molecular, cellular, and human perspectives. We are one of the rare institutions focused on unique ideas and approaches in biomedical research (not simply 'raising awareness' of research work), and because we operate without the barriers and bureaucracies that suffocate innovative ideas and pervasively plague federally-funded research, we are able to more quickly discover and publish innovative discoveries in science and medicine. This work relies on charitable giving, and we are proud that all donations directly fund ground-breaking research and ideas that we hope will lead to new understanding of neurological diseases and revolutionary new treatments and therapies for patients. We are also proud that the Institute has already made many significant scientific discoveries, as described through several impactful scientific publications, thereby providing important insights in the fields of tissue engineering, stem cell biology, and regenerative medicine, and having made more impact with tens of thousands of dollars than most federally-funded research accomplishes with several million dollars. The Institute will always remain fully transparent about all spending and we are happy to answer any questions regarding the accounting of how donations are spent.
There are several ways that you can assist our efforts. Financial donations are greatly appreciated, and all appropriate receipts are provided for tax deduction purposes. You can also shop at Amazon using the Amazon Smiles program, which adds no additional cost to you but donates 0.5% of your purchase to our organization. We would also appreciate donations of additional new or used laboratory equipment items. Most of all, we are grateful for help in raising awareness of these issues and efforts. If you have a personal story of challenge or tragedy with neurological disease or injury that you would like to share in writing or on film, we would like to hear from you at the above email address. We are deeply indebted to everyone who has shown encouragement and support in these charitable causes and challenging endeavors!
